Mini-Lesson Samples

When teaching students about the difference between monotheism and polytheism Cory brought in two people to interview about their monotheistic and polytheistic religions.
Above is a mini-lesson Cory created during the first spring of the COVID pandemic. He asked students to use their critical thinking skills to make connections between a fictional universe in film and the real life events of Ancient Rome.
These graphic organizers were made to help students remember the different "buckets" within each letter of the G.R.A.P.E. framework which we use to analyze and break down ancient societies throughout the year.
Above is a simulation to illustrate how difficult it was to survive when early humans were nomadic. Each decision leads to a different outcome, and eventually a different final location to illustrate how early humans populated the planet.
